While I don’t normally reblog posts, and I haven’t been in this *exact* situation(although many similar), I feel this every time I go out by myself. People (unfortunately mostly men) seem to have a major issues with women sitting ‘by themselves.’ especially if that woman is reading, on their phone, trying to shut out the world with headphones or just wants to enjoy some time to themselves. And as soon as we try to nicely say to them ‘I don’t want to hear your life story, I’m just trying to get to work’ they make you out to be the asshole. While I usually try to be polite enough, it seems to make it worse. And to all of the (physically able) dudes out there that just watch while this happens, you are just as much responsible as the assholes that are doing it. Stand up for your fellow human being. Be part of the solution. [end highly emotional rant]
